Bolivian Business Visa
BOLIVIAN VISA APPLICATION
- The online visa application must be typed and your passport photo must be uploaded. If it cannot be completed by hand or your photo uploaded, "VIP Service" is available.
- All questions must be answered. If the question does not apply, enter "N/A" as your response.
- Print the Visa Receipt (Located within the application form below) and sign your name as it appears on the passport. Please sign your name within the rectangular box.
Bolivian Visa Application Form
ORIGINAL PASSPORT
- You must send your physical passport - copies cannot be used for visa issuance.
- Your signed passport must be valid and contain sufficient blank visa pages - visas are stamps affixed to the blank "visa" pages of your passport. Amendment pages (clearly marked) in the back of your passport are not acceptable for visa issuance.
Please note the following:
- You need to have (6) months validity on your passport upon re-entering the US before applying for the visa.
PASSPORT PHOTO
- Your passport photograph (1) must meet specific standards or it will be rejected, The photo must be commercially taken, be 2" x 2" in size and taken within the last six months. (We offer passport photo services).
Important: Please do not staple the photo to the visa application. If you wish to attach the photo simply attach it with a paper clip or send it loose and we will attach it for you.
PROOF OF DEPARTURE
- Please send a copy of your itinerary. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.
BUSINESS LETTER
- A business letter of responsibility (sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
Embassy of Bolivia, Visa Section, Los Angeles, CA
- The letter must explain all of the following:
Nature of business to be performed
Name and address of reference to be visited
Where the traveler plans to stay while in Bolivia
This letter should request Multiple Entries visa if required
Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit. - The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.
GOOD CONTACT CERTIFICATE
- Applicants must provide a Good Conduct Certificate/Police Record from their local Police Department.
MULTIPLE ENTRIES
- If you are applying for the multiple entry visa please provide the following documents in addition to the requirements above:
- 1) Current Certificate of Good Conduct/ background check issued by INTERPOL.
- 2) Legalized documentation of the constitution of the company that you represent in the United States.
- 3) Certified photocopy of the Tax Identification Number (NIT) or original electronic certification if the company was established in Bolivia.

BANK STATEMENT
- A copy of the applicant's recent bank statement or evidence of adequate finance, such as a letter from a bank, or money market statement. It is advisable to erase account numbers.
PROOF OF DEPARTURE
- A photocopy or round-trip ticket/itinerary in the applicant's name is required.
HOTEL RESERVATION OR INVITATION
- A copy of your hotel confirmation or reservation must be submitted.
- Or a letter of invitation if staying in a private home while in Bolivia from your friends or relatives is required. The letter of invitation must indicate your host address, and must be notarized. A scanned email copy is acceptable.
